A new hypoventilation monitoring method was proposed at the ASA 2019 in Orlando

At the Anesthesiology Annual Meeting (ASA 2019) in Orlando, the following abstract paper was presented in an oral session and also in a featured abstract paper poster session.

Jang et al., Continuous monitoring of tidal volume and minute ventilation using portable electrical impedance tomography (EIT) for reliable and early detection of hypoventilation, ASA, Orlando, U.S., 2019.

The authors proposed a new hypoventilation monitoring method using the EIT technology. Results of animal experiments are described in the abstract paper.
